Breathwork: My Game-Changer in Healing and Growth
As a self-help junkie, I've tried so many different healing modalities over the years! Each one has helped me in unique ways, at different stages of my life. Some I loved, some I didn’t vibe with at all. But that's the beauty of it — healing isn’t a one-size-fits-all journey. What resonates with one person might not work for another, and that’s totally okay. That’s what I love about the world of self-reflection and personal growth — it’s diverse, ever-changing, and always evolving, just like we are.
One of the things I’ve explored a lot is breathwork. Over the years, I’ve dabbled in different types, but it wasn’t until I found Revelation Breathwork that something truly clicked for me. I think it was a combination of where I was in life and the specific phase of healing I was in. I had already done a lot of work in therapy — talk therapy, EMDR, and Brainspotting (all of which are amazing!) — but I was ready for something different. Something that could take me to the next level of healing and expansion.
That’s when I started incorporating a regular breathwork practice into my life, specifically the 3-part breath. And wow, did it make a difference! I went from thinking, “Okay, I’m doing pretty good here” to literally feeling like, “WOW, I FEEL AMAZING!” It boosted my healing in ways I didn’t expect, and it’s become an essential part of my routine ever since.
I’ve learned that taking care of my nervous system is key to staying balanced, and breathwork is one of the best ways to do that. Whether I’m releasing pent-up emotions, easing tension in my body, or amplifying feelings of joy and gratitude, breathwork always takes me where I need to go. And honestly, I never know what kind of session it’s going to be until I’m in it. Some days it’s deeply cathartic, other times it’s calming, and sometimes it’s a celebration of pure joy. But no matter what, I always come out of it feeling lighter, more grounded, and more embodied.
Breathwork helps me stay centered and less rattled by life’s ups and downs. It’s not magic, but it sure feels like it sometimes. It’s a practice that helps me not just survive but truly thrive. If you’re looking for something to support your own healing journey — or if you just want to feel more present and balanced — I can’t recommend it enough. Your body has so much wisdom, and breathwork is one powerful way to tap into it.
